Direct supplier API connections require credentials the supplier has authorized you to use. Supplier monitoring uses publicly listed product information from supported storefronts.

Common questions
Before you connect anything
Does my supplier need an API?
No. If a supplier offers an API you are authorized to use, EagleLytics® can connect to it directly. Otherwise EagleLytics® monitors supported supplier storefronts using publicly listed product information.
Will EagleLytics® change my store automatically?
Only when you tell it to. You can run scans without connecting a store, sync manually from a validated scan, or set a schedule. Price sync is off unless you turn it on.
What happens if SKUs do not match?
Unmatched products are never written to your store. They appear in the scan report, where you can map them to a store SKU once. The mapping is reused on every future scan.
What happens if a supplier scan fails?
The scan is marked failed, you are notified, and no sync runs from it. Your store is not changed.
How often can EagleLytics® check inventory?
Scans run on a schedule you choose. The fastest interval depends on your plan and on the supplier connection type; see the pricing page for details.
Does EagleLytics® respect supplier website access rules?
Yes. EagleLytics® reads robots.txt, honors crawl-delay directives, rate-limits requests per domain, and identifies itself as EagleLyticsBot. Sites that disallow crawling are not scanned.
Can I try it without connecting my real store?
Yes. The live demo provisions a private sandbox account with sample suppliers, scans, and sync history, with no signup. You can also run scans on your own account without connecting a store.
